BOUNDARY KENNELS AND TRAINING

Owned and run solely by partners Henrietta and Nick, Boundary Kennels and Training is a small kennel offering a very personalised and caring stay for your dog.

Set in the Suffolk countryside with easy access from the A12, A14 and A140. We are to be found on the junction of the A140 / B1077 Debenham Road (the white cottage on the corner).

Please note that we do not accept any dogs without an initial visit followed by a half day and a separate overnight stay. There is no charge until the overnight stay is undertaken.

Our philosophy is that we want all dogs to feel happy and settled with us and for us to be able to fulfil your dog’s needs and requirements. The initial visit is to enable you to view the kennels and meet us, ask questions and to understand how we go about things. It also allows us to assess your dog and spend some time with them so that they are not going to come to a place that they are unfamiliar with or to be left with people they have not already met.

The trial period not only aids any adjustment needed for your dog to get used to kennels but enables us to maintain a generally quiet environment for those dogs already boarding. Most dogs are accepted upon completion; the most common reason for not being that a dog sleeps with its owners in their bedroom! This does make the adjustment to kennel life very difficult.

We take family pets, working dogs and dogs that need a little more care, be that resulting from anxiety, age or for medical reasons such as diabetes (after initial assessment and our agreement).

Endorsed by Debenham Veterinary Practice, whom act as both our personal and kennel vets, we receive both recommendations and bookings from other veterinary practices in the area.

All kennels are equipped with heat mats and dogs have access to their own outside run during the day (unless the weather is particularly inclement). Family kennels are available depending upon number of dogs and size. Monitoring is carried out during the night.
